Doolittle - Moment Of Destiny

Robert Taylor

Medal of Honor recipient, Jimmy Doolittle is best remembered for leading the raid on Tokyo in 1942. He later commanded the air war over Italy and North Africa, before taking command of the 8th Air Force in Europe.

An exclusive limited edition from a stunning pencil drawing by Robert Taylor captures the final moments before take-off from the carrier Hornet. The tension aboard reaches a crescendo as Colonel Jimmy Doolittle brings the engines to full power, his B-25 straining against the brakes. Within seconds he will hurtle off the deck, followed by 15 intrepid Doolittle Raider crews, their destination Tokyo.
